Staff Profiles

 

DAVID N. SIMMONS, Esq. has practiced immigration law in his native Denver since 1986. He represents a broad variety of immigration clients from all countries in the world. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he teaches Immigration Law in Spanish as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Denver’s Spanish in the Law program. He is a former Chapter Chair of the Colorado Chapter, American Immigration Lawyers Association. He served as Honorary Legal Counsel to the Mexican Consulate General in Denver for twelve years. He is active in a number of pro-bono projects.

FATIMA GARCIA-SANCHEZ has been an Immigration paralegal since 2005. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Health with an emphasis in Community Health from the University of Northern Colorado. Although her goal was to work in the medical field, she discovered a greater passion for immigration. Fatima immigrated from Mexico when she was young, and brings her own cultural background and immigration story to her work. Fatima is the married mother of three beautiful girls. She is actively involved in her children’s education and church.

DORA P. GARCIA has worked as an Immigration paralegal since 2006. Dora’s parents immigrated to the United States from Mexico. She has 2 years of undergraduate work in Theology at Marquette Jesuit University and Regis University. Currently, she is completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Dora is active in the community. She and has worked as a volunteer with the YMCA, Centro San Juan Diego, St. Augustine’s Catholic Church and the Friends First Mentoring Program, among others.
